sahara movie review: with Matthrew McConaughey, Penelopy Cruz and Steve Zahn

Going to the movie theater, I decided to select Sahara over The Amityville Horror that weekend, because I've had enough of scary movies recently. With The Ring Two (ugh, why did they make it) and Constantine (pretty good) already churning my stomach, this was a nice change of pace.

I still remember Matthew McConaughey in "Ed TV" movie, I always liked that movie. He's a good actor and carries Sahara very well. With just enough bravado and silliness, to get though it.

When I watch a movie, there are a few things which are very important to me:

• movie moves quickly without any slow moments - Sahara definitely accomplished this
• movie is funny - yes, plenty of comedy
• special effects-o-plenty - definitely had a lot of those

I thought Cruz was excellent, and Steve Zahn was great too!

Putting aside some totally unbelievable plot twists (train in the desert) and physical rules (bullets never hitting our heroes through at least 10 gun fights), the movie worked!

I actually don't mind some movie elements which can't occur in real life, because movies are, in fact, MOVIES.

I'm giving Sahara 4 Marsh's heads out of total possible 5, I enjoyed myself tremendously
