My Cat Photoshops

I love photoshop contests, and these are my cat photoshop entries for various online cat forum contests.

photoshop process and software: Adobe Photoshop software is just too complicated and too expensive, so I use Jasc PaintShopPro software program for all my cat photoshop altered images.

I list the cat photoshopped images by date, the most recent first. I also, when possible, try to include the original image of a cat. It's always interesting, at least to me, to find out what an artist had to start with when making his/her vision of the original photo. Sometimes, the cat photoshops turn out great, other times, they're really not that good at all. I just learned to take all criticism and do better next time.

I always try to do something interesting and maybe a little different, not like the others. You must use layers, filters, and various other tools to get the image just right.

For catforum, attempts at making a new logo image (not a winner, out of about 30 entries, placed mid-pack for all 3).

The middle photoshop did best, with the 1st and 3rd being mid-pack. The winner was on the same topic and layout, I guess just liked more than my entry.

For cat forum, taking a cat's picture and making it 'funny'

Here, i took the cat image, cut out the background, layered it, added the lemon and a sign. Then added another layer with the eye carefully closed half-way to show the grimace.
